RESLEY CREEK (Comanche County). Resley (Resley's) Creek rises in northeast Comanche County ten miles northeast of Gustine (at 32°12' N, 94°18' W) and flows southeast for twelve miles to its mouth (at 32°10' N, 94°16' W) on the Leon River, one mile northeast of State Highway 36 near the Hamilton county line. The stream rises in rolling prairies surfaced by clay loam which supports mesquite and grasses, then passes briefly through steep slopes covered with shallow clay loam, then returns to terrain similar to that in which it began. Early settler George Resley, for whom the creek was named, came to the area in the late 1850s.

ROCKY CREEK (Hamilton County). Rocky Creek rises a mile west of Carlton in northern Hamilton County (at 31°55' N, 98°11' W) and runs southwest for ten miles, through the eastern corner of Comanche County, to its mouth on the Leon River, at the Hamilton-Comanche county line (at 31°49' N, 98°12' W). The stream is intermittent in its upper reaches. It traverses flat, flood-prone terrain with local shallow depressions, surfaced by clay and sandy loams that support water tolerant hardwoods, conifers, and grasses.
